OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA – CCHP a health plan based in San Francisco, announced that it is now offering Medicare Advantage plans for Alameda residents including Oakland, Hayward, Fremont, San Leandro and beyond.
Together with Oakland Chinatown Chamber of Commerce (OCCC) and CCHP, leaders of the organizations and the business community welcomed Chinatown seniors and families to celebrate the opening of the new CCHP office in the heart of Oakland’s Chinatown. Many residents stopped by to say how much they appreciated the opportunity to get the Chinese Hospital Medicare plan coverage as they already use services across the Bay.
People in attendance were pleasantly surprised to hear that CCHP is now available to Medicare recipients in Alameda County. Those in attendance enjoyed learning about the plan offerings and the snacks from the nearby Hay Yue Restaurant, a favorite of many.

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has approved its plan to expand service to Medicare members in Alameda County starting in 2025. Which means qualified residents can sign-up during this Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) that started October 15 and ends December 7. This represents a fresh new alternative for people with Original Medicare and those who already have Medicare Advantage plans but are looking for additional options.
CCHP is a full-service health plan that has been serving the San Francisco and San Mateo communities since 1986. Now, people of Alameda County can take advantage of the enhanced benefits thousands have been enjoying for years.

Other convenient supplemental benefits include transportation for medical appointments on Uber and worldwide ER coverage for those who travel.
What’s more, in this period of increased prices for everyday necessities, CCHP offers flexible debit card allowances to help afford healthy groceries and purchase over-the-counter (OTC) products like vitamins, pain relievers, and other items people already buy regularly.
Both CCHP’s plans include Prescription Drug coverage otherwise called Medicare Part D, saving members from having to pay separately for this important coverage.
As a reminder, to get CCHP’s 2025 plan year coverage, people are encouraged to act now. The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) has already started on October 15th and ends December 7th. This is the only time most people can either join anew or switch plans.
